Developed in 1997, as a joint effort between Mississippi College and

Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, the Baptist Healthplex combines

the concept of physical fitness, the science of medicine and a

recreational environment.

This 106,000-square-foot facility supports local healthcare through

the establishment of rehabilitation services and physician offices,

and provides allied health educational opportunities and a

strengthening of the nursing curriculum, further benefiting the

entire growing community. The Healthplex also promotes a shift

in the student sports emphasis, from a solely competitive-based

experience to students becoming engaged with fitness and wellness
